Wow, it's been a while since I last updated. Sorry about that. After finishing the third book, I kind of took a hiatus, but now I'm back and more excited than ever about the crevice world. Hopefully we'll be seeing (semi) regular updates from now on.
Tales From Under the Cubbyhole, as you can probably see on the main page, has been released for a while now. The preview will remain up for anyone who wishes to read it. You can also buy it by clicking the title above. It's the longest of any of the books, weighing in at 153 pages, and I would like to say I'm quite proud of it.
We recently discovered that someone is reselling an autographed copy of Tales From Under the Crevice on Amazon. You can find it there until somebody buys it. For those of you who are interested in an autographed copy and have not had a chance to attend one of my author programs, this would be an excellent opportunity. It's selling for $10, which is about what you'd pay for it anyway, and it's autographed, which I can't do when you order online because my books are printed on demand. You can also find a copy of Tales From Under the Nook on Amazon. For two hundred and twenty-five bucks. Let me restate that. Two hundred and twenty-five ($225) dollars. And it's not autographed. In fact, the title page is missing. Seriously, I'm not kidding. You can see a screenshot below.
As the author of the book, I will personally tell you that although I believe it's good, it's not worth $225. But, if any of you would really like a copy of Tales From Under the Nook and have a large bank account, there it is. Take it while this unique offer lasts. (The seller actually put "best buy" in the description...) If you can't believe the picture you can click hereto check our this offer before either
A) somebody buys it
B) the seller realizes how completely ludicrous or
C) the seller realizes they put the decimal point in the wrong place.
I sincerely hope it's option C.
Or you could, you know, buy a brand-new, completely untouched copy for $10. It even has a title page. Nothing like charging people exorbitant quantities of money for something you can get really cheaply. I'll really be scratching my head over this one for a while. Maybe the seller is under the (mistaken) impression that my books are out of print? Oh well. At least I got a good chuckle out of it.
In other news: stay sharp on the site. I've suddenly been possessed by an urge to start putting new things on it. Also, there may be some new projects on the horizon. Perhaps a new book, or an audiobook, or some Tales merchandise, or just some really cool pictures. I'm in a creative mood. We shall see.

Okay, so the extremely vigilant will have noticed that Tales From Under the Cubbyhole was not out bu July 27th. I apologize for this. I was not expecting to have a massive headache, come out second best in a battle with the pavement (no broken bones), come down with a sort of cold thingy, and have about eight million different other things happen within the space of a few days.
Again, I apologize for this. This book is being notoriously tardy for publication, but I would like to reassure everyone it really will be out soon. We took some preliminary photos for the cover the other day, and the book is being edited as I write this.
In the meantime, I am posting the first two chapters up for preview for anyone who would like to have a look-see at what's been going on.
Sorry again for the delay, and hope everyone is as excited as I am about visiting the crevice world again.
The site has been lacking updates for quite a while now, but I'm back with some great news. Tales From Under the Cubbyhole, the third book in the Tales From Under the Crevice series, is nearly ready!
I'm two chapters away from finishing the book, and it is expected to hit online shelves by July 27th. Cover art is currently in progress, and Ellie, my wonderful editor, is working hard to review the book as we speak. Expect to see a lot more activity around the website, including new graphics and pages as we lead up to the book's release.
Also, I'm very excited to announce that I'll be hitting the Homeschool Conference in California to do my author program there. I'll be fresh off the release of the third book, and should have plenty of copies of all three there with me.
Stay tuned! The third book has plenty of plot twists and surprises, plus some fresh new characters. The first chapter or two will be up for preview soon.

Well, it’s been kind of a crazy month.
First off: Tales From Under the Crevice and Tales From Under the Nook were recently featured in Jonesboro Occasions Magazine with glowing praise (Jonesboro, Arkansas).
Also, we’re pleased to announce that you can now meet Serrin. One of the lead characters from the books now has his very own MySpace. You can view photos of Serrin, send him messages, and more at www.myspace.com/serrinofpanok.
Sincerely,
Zephyr
Okay, I know I haven't updated in a few months and I apologize for that as I have been extremely busy. The good news is, I've already started work on the third book in the series. The bad news is, I can't think of a good name for it. Tales From Under the Cranny just doesn't seem to work.
Last month in Arkansas, I was interviewed by a magazine called Jonesboro Occasions. I was told by the reporter that it would most likely be in this month's issue, so I look forward to seeing that. I'll post something on the site as soon as I know anything else.
Check out the brand-new reviews page, where you can see what my readers have been saying. Feel free to add your two cents.
As always, I am working on some new content for the site, so I've got to get back to it.

There's a bunch of new stuff up on the site. There is a cool new poster in the Poster Gallery and some general maintainence being done all around. I am working on some really neat new stuff, including some video clips and possibly eventually some games.
Also, my author programs are up and going well. I've been getting rave reviews and I'm filling up my schedule for this year, so check out the tour page and come to one of my programs in your area. Or better yet, if you're a library, school, or bookstore, book your own.
Well, I must take my leave now, as there is always much to be done, but I will be back later with some more cool stuff.

Tales From Under the Nook is now avaliable! Huzzah! I'm going to party like crazy now.

Good news! Tales From Under the Nook is finally finished. The book is in the proofreading stages right now. As the December 2nd release date ticks closer, I've been busy preparing promotional materials and getting ready to go crazy when the book is finally released. You can check out the said promo stuff at the new Poster Gallery.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. The day before Thanksgiving, I was in New York City watching them blow up the balloons for the famed Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. On Thanksgiving itself, however, my parents and I decided that we really didn't feel like getting up at 5 A.M. and wrestling the city traffic to get good spots watching it, so instead we slep 'til noon and then went to the movies and ate cheesecake. I also had eggnog, which strangely resembles a drink in the crevice world known as Slurk. Life is good.

Tales From Under the Nook is coming along beautifully! I've got over 100 handwritten pages and about 90 of them are typed and ready. If all goes according to plan, the book will be realeased to the public on December 2nd. The teaser graphic for the book can be seen on the preview page. There will be plenty of surprises...
I am also hard at work on adding new things to the site. There will soon be a new page up featuring Tronks from the first book (although he will be making another appearance in Nook). I have much to do, so I am going to disappear on you now, but keep checking the site for updates. There will be loads of stuff to do here soon.

I've been a bit busy recently writing Tales From Under the Nook and volunteering at Field of Screams (Lancaster, PA www.fieldofscreams.com), the haunted attraction that I frequently help out at, so there hasn't been much time for updates, but here they are.
First of all, a new page is up on the site. The About the Author page is now up and you can now get a sneak peek at Tales From Under the Nook from the preview page. More site content coming soon!
Advertisement for the Tales From Under the Crevice National Tour is being sent out to libraries across the country. Also, there is a school in North Carolina that has expressed interest in having me conduct a writing workshop with some 4th graders there this February. If you run a school or library and would like to book an author appearance, contact me by clicking E-Mail the Author from the home page.
Tales From Under the Nook is now in its 11th Chapter! The book is going well and has about 66 written pages. It is about half done now and the other half will follow more quickly than the first.
It's about time for me to go; there is much to be done! The sequel is almost finished and is being typed up from my notebook. I am turning 15 this week, and there is still much volunteering to be done and more people to be scared down at Field of Screams, not to mention the work still to be done on the site. To rephrase a famous Walt Disney quote: As long as there is imagination left in the world, this website will never be finished.
I'm off to the races!

OK, here's what's going on: Tales From Under the Nook, the sequel to Tales From Under the Crevice, is underway and well in progress. I finished the 6th chapter today and am hoping to write the 7th tonight.
I've been a bit lazy about writing recently, but I recently met up with some friends who read the first few chapters of my next book and enjoyed them and they have gotten me excited about it again. Sometimes we authors just need a kick in the rear. Don't worry, I'm now writing several pages a day to make up for lost time.
I'm also organizing the Tales From Under the Crevice National Tour. This means that I will be appearing at venues across the country to promote the book, answer questions, sign books, and so on. I've designed some fliers advertising it and still need to put the finishing touches on them. Hopefully I can get them printed and sent soon. They will be sent primarily to libraries, as that is where I plan on appearing. If all goes well I will spread out to other venues as well.
Well, I better run. So long!
