Zephyr Goza, author of the Tales From Under the Crevice series, answers all of the stuff people keep asking him.
A: The premise of the book is that for every corner or crevice in this world that nobody ever notices, there is a gateway to another world. The story takes place when I end up in one of these worlds by accident and must help stop a terrifying force of evil...
A: There are some scary parts to it, but it is NOT a horror novel. It's more suspenseful than scary. However, there are battle scenes, eerie locations, and frightening characters. Most people tend to handle it fine. As far as ages, I prefer not to place limits on it. If your children are reading such books as Harry Potter or A Series of Unfortunate Events they should be fine. If you're not sure, try reading it with them. Please don't discourage children from reading by limiting their selection of books.
A: Um...yes.
A: Go to www.activated-storytellers.com. All you ever wanted to know about the theatre troupe I tour with is there.
A: Boy, do I wish people actually asked me this. Back to reality.
A: Tales From Under the Crevice is 128 pages and Tales From Under the Nook is 126 pages.
A: About a year on each one. However, it was just something that I worked on in my spare time. I didn't really ever sit down and work on it, just sort of wrote a little at a time. I'm trying to pick up the pace for my next book.
A: No. There is no secret formula. Just try to have fun while you write it and hopefully you will give your readers the same feeling.
A: Yes. I am currently avaliable for young author programs at libraries and schools across the country. Check my schedule to see when you can catch me at one. You can also see me perform with the Act!vated Storytellers and if you bring your copy of the book I will autograph it there. Books are usually avaliable for purchase after shows as well.
A: Yes. Have fun and follow your dreams.
